AFN is a post-graduate special interest group for Gynaecology and Fertility.

The criteria for AFN membership are to assure a parity of professional qualification and of post-graduate training in fertility treatment amongst our membership.

Professional requirements

AFN is an organisation for Traditional Acupuncturists.

Applicants should be members of either BAcC, ATCM or any governing body with membership to ETCMA. Or an equivalent professional body.

This pre-supposes a UK/European Licentiate in Acupuncture, and ensures that all members carry insurance for medical malpractice and public/products liability.

BAcC, ATCM and all ETCMA members are governed by:

  • Codes of Conduct
  • Codes of Safe Practice
  • Codes of Ethics

Post-graduate CPD requirements

Prospective members must provide certification of attendance for courses specific to supporting both natural and assisted conception.

Courses that currently meet the AFN requirement standard are:

  • Trevor Wing – Post-Graduate Diploma Course in TCM Clinical Gyanecology and Obstetrics (Herbs and Acupuncture).

  • Jani White – The TCM Foundation Programme (Acupuncture only) based on the 2008 Brookes University MA Acupuncture modules for Gynaecology and Fertility.
